About the Course.

Becoming a
Smile Architect

A smile architect sees the result before they begin. The first day teaches that — a systematic checklist for any smile, digital smile design on Keynote and SmileCloud, and real cases analysed as a group, until the eye and the language become reflex.

Mastering Lab Communication

With anterior aesthetic composite restorations, you become your own lab technician — there is no ceramist to hide behind. The course covers the full workflow — bilaminar layering, isolation, putty key, polishing and microanatomy, cutback and staining techniques with extensive hands-on devoted to the final touch.

Anterior Composite Mastery

The biggest reason aesthetic cases disappoint is not the lab — it is what was, or was not said before the case was made. You'll learn a framework — context, design, material, instructions, checkpoints — how to deliver it through annotated visual briefs, and how to critique returned work before it reaches the patient.

Smile Design: From Concept to the Final Touch

Anterior resin restorations offer a conservative, versatile, and highly rewarding approach to smile enhancement. When executed well, they transform a patient's smile while preserving tooth structure and delivering beautiful, predictable results.

In this course, Dr Reina shares her approach to anterior resin work — the principles, techniques, and clinical workflows behind natural, aesthetic outcomes. Through real cases, hands-on exercises, and clinical tips, you'll build the confidence to bring this work into everyday practice and elevate your aesthetic dentistry. But Atelier is more than a resin course. You'll learn to think and see like a Smile Architect — designing each case with intention by reading facial proportions, symmetry, and the subtle details that make a result look truly natural.

The two days run from smile design through to the final resin restoration.

  • Day 1 — Macro-aesthetics and smile design. Dr Reina works through the full Smile Design checklist across the three phases of treatment — Diagnostic DSD, Labwork Analysis, and Restoration — alongside a 'good-to-great' framework built to sharpen your aesthetic eye. Particular focus goes to a structured approach to lab communication, which is where she sees a lot of aesthetic cases quietly come undone. She walks through DSD live on both Keynote and SmileCloud, with the commentary and sketches that translate your vision for the lab, and walks through real cases — direct and indirect — as worked examples. The day closes with a hands-on session polishing a set of six resin-printed anterior teeth to drill the macro principles: shape, proportion, embrasure depth, optical illusion choices, and the small calls that move work from good to great.

  • Day 2 — Anterior resin restorations. Light and scattering and how they influence the value of a restoration, the four-dimensional colour model, bilaminar layering protocol, isolation, putty key, cut-back technique, stains and tints, polishing, and microanatomy — all applied to a direct resin veneer and a Class IV restoration built side by side, with microanatomy and polish then returned to the Day 1 models. The whole day is built around the final touch: the details that take a restoration from competent to indistinguishable from natural.

The cohort is intentionally small, so every delegate gets one-on-one guidance and feedback at the bench and more time to cover each delegates questions.

Whether you're refining existing techniques or beginning your journey into aesthetic dentistry, this course delivers practical knowledge and plenty of hands-on work you can apply in the clinic immediately.
